We begin at Esther’s Bar Shop, located directly on Grand Anse Beach, which offers a “liming” (i.e., hang out) spot popular by locals for its large selection of customized drink list. We recommend their mojitos! Next stop on the trip is Umbrella’s Beach Bar for happy hour specials and loads of options for appetizers, burgers, and booze.
Guests can enjoy live, local music on the weekends with the tantalizing smells of local jerk barbequing from nearby shops. From the beach, we go onto The Container Park, located in True Blue, which provides multiple casual eatery and drink options.
Guests can grab a bite to eat before the night continues with cuisine options such as sushi, Indian, Mexican, or local ice cream. The Container Park is located steps away from St. George’s University, often called the Harvard of medical schools in the Caribbean. After True Blue, we continue the party in Lance Aux Epines, just a short five-minute drive away.
Junction Bar and Grill and West Indies Beer Company are located side by side to one another which makes the “hopping” much easier at this time of the night. Junction Bar and Grill offers live music with designated nights for karaoke and Latin music and dancing. West Indies Beer Company offers a wide range of locally made beers and ciders, a different alternative to the island’s pride of rum. Both offer food options and nightly drink specials.
This “Nighttime Bar Hoping Tour” gives guests a sample of just some of the popular drinking holes located in the Grand Anse area and spots can always be exchanged with alternative nearby locations depending on specific interests.
